Birthday cake with three chocolates. Recipe for children

Every year, I try to make a cake for my nieces and my son's birthdays and every time I try to make a different cake. On this occasion, at the express request of my niece Marina, we have made a three-story cake with a different chocolate in each one. It is a very easy and very colorful recipe so I recommend you try this three chocolates birthday cake when you have the chance to do it.

To finish off the decoration, we have put a loop around the whole cake and we have placed the birthday candles on top since the most important thing of every birthday cake is to serve as an apology for everyone to sing shouting the "Happy Birthday"While the honoree prepares for his mission: Blow and blow out all the candles, which we have had to do several times because almost all the little guests wanted to try blowing out the candles.

Ingredients for a birthday cake for 12

  • To assemble the cake: 3 discs of sponge cake, Nocilla or Nutella chocolate cream, Chocolate mousse, white chocolate, homemade syrup. In addition, a golden bow and Lacasitos to decorate
  • For the chocolate mousse: 250 g of 60% dark chocolate, 100 g of butter, 4 eggs, 100 g of sugar and 200 ml of cream
  • For the cakes: 280 g pastry flour, 1 tablespoon of yeast, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 300 ml whole milk, 4 egg whites, 300 g of sugar, 2 teaspoons of lemon zest, 100 g butter

How to make a three chocolates birthday cake

Mix the ingredients of the cake except for the whites that we mount on the verge of snow. We incorporate the egg whites into the dough, trying to mix in a homogeneous way and bake in a buttered mold at 180º for about 35 minutes until we can put a skewer and leave it clean. Cut the cake into three discs with a saw knife.

We prepare a syrup mixing 200 ml of water with 50 g of sugar and let it cook for 5 minutes. Once the cake is cold, we cut it into three portions and moisten each of them with the syrup. We spread the first layer of sponge cake with chocolate cream and cover with a second disc of sponge cake.

We prepare a chocolate mousse with this recipe and distribute it over the second layer of cake. We reserve the cake in the fridge while we make the last layer. On the other hand, we melt the white chocolate in the microwave and when it is well melted, we drop it on the last layer of cake spreading it before it hardens.

Let this layer cool in the refrigerator so that white chocolate solidifies again. We place this layer on the chocolate mousse and wrap the cake with a bow or wide ribbon to keep it in place until the time of the celebration.

How should you take a birthday cake? Well, with a lot of family, many friends and all full of enthusiasm. Then it is enough to see them blow the candles, make the photos for the memory and take a portion in moderation because this cake is very caloric.
