Young babies are more prone to singleness

Every day more surprising studies come to light. And this one that links the baby's weight at birth with the chances of getting married is undoubtedly one of them.

In addition to being curious, I find it unusual and without too much scientific foundation. Let's see:

An investigation conducted with British and Finnish men supports the hypothesis that low birth weight men are less likely to get married.

They studied that for every two pounds of weight gain at birth, the probability of getting married was raised. They speculated that insufficient fetal growth could explain why people who never marry are more susceptible to cardiovascular disease.

So a baby born small is doomed to singleness? What if you develop some kind of illness as a result of your low birth weight nobody will want to marry him? Please!

Another curiosity is that he studied found some relationship between low birth weight and the probability of marriage among men, but not among women.

Is it because "weak" men are less desired by women, while skinny women are attractive to men?

I think the matter is going another way.
