Summer, the worst time of the year for a child to get sick

Surely some vacationers will have suffered in their meats the countless waiting hours in the ambulatory of the town where they are spending their vacations, even the emergency area seems to be collapsed and parents waiting for them to care for their children get desperate.

It is not that half of the medical staff has taken vacations, there are no fewer nurses, in fact the problem is that nothing changes, that is, the population you go to spend the summer has a certain number of inhabitants, the services are prepared to serve only the native community and in summer, the population can perfectly triple, especially those that are on the coast, however, as we have seen, the services remain the same, so it is practically impossible to attend the Increased demand turning summer into the worst time for a child to get sick. We have been through this situation a couple of times, living in a coastal town and with a large influx of tourism forces us to resign and in the event of any health problem of our children, having to wait several hours until being treated is the only solution (except of the really serious cases of course).

Municipalities and central government do not take appropriate measures, not even for the areas of pediatrics that sometimes can be collapsed, add to this what we already know, pediatricians are still missing.

Talking to a pediatrician in our town, he reaffirms that the problem has a difficult solution, since there are not enough doctors either and the few who finish the race prefer to go to work in another country because they are better treated economically.

In short, we cannot resign ourselves to suffer this situation every year, to demand from the responsible administrations a greater number of pediatricians (and doctors in general) during the summer season is necessary, but do we have any power over it? What are done in health centers?
