Just as we sometimes criticize hospitals that do not respect the desire of women to give birth as they want, we also like to recognize the work of those hospitals that do, as is the case of Costa del Sol Hospital, in Malaga, where the water dilation and vertical delivery for future moms who want to give birth freely.
At the time we echoed the news, but I wanted to share with you this video of a report made by Canal Sur in the same center so that pregnant women can see the facilities and practices that are performed in childbirth.
As we can see, they have resources so that the mother of a standing light, sitting or squatting, a large dilation bathtub, giant balls and have adopted as protocol the skin-to-skin contact of the newborn with the parents.
This initiative has resulted in the hospital being awarded by UNICEF as a Child Friendly Hospital for respecting the nature of birth. Congratulations on respecting women by allowing you to give birth in the way you feel most comfortable. An example to follow.
