Valencian centers for guardianship of minors turn to the Food Bank and donations to feed children

Yesterday it was learned that the children supervised by the Valencian Community Administration, have become the ultimate victims of the cuts applied in the budgets for Social Welfare.

Apparently residential centers have reached the limit, and they have to resort to the Food Bank and private donations in order to feed the children who live under their roofs. And I say, is it not enough that these little ones should have been separated from their families, so that now they must starve? I believe that if a government has the responsibility of guarding children, it is to whom the obligation of being well cared for should be attributed.

Can you imagine? doubly helpless children, children victims of a situation that they (or their families) have not generated, and who are forced to be locked in places where the current state of things persist, will not have adequate conditions for their development .

Today, the Minister of Social Welfare, has worked to affirm that the debts contracted with the centers will be paid (which are ironically publicly owned). Hopefully it's true, it is not going to be that the public guardianship of these minors is a worse solution that having stayed with their parents (everything depends on each particular case, of course).

If it is a matter of priorities, it should be noted that Administrations they must first watch over their citizens, I say (Although I am disenchanted with many things, I still have a kind of 'blind' hope), at least in a welfare state.

I was struck to read about those foreign citizens who bring food and soap to the residential center of Altea (Alicante), I don't know what you should think about our country, but in any case, welcome your contributions.

This case is not different, from the children that this summer will eat thanks to the fact that the school canteens remain open this summer, but these children who are protected, suffer twice because they have already been separated from their families. Oh! And by the way, it seems that they also owe money to the host families, some of them can no longer take care of the children.
