Adoption is a long and difficult road, but the reward is well worth traveling that road. The smile of little Jeremiah Dickerson, four, says it all.
In this tender photograph taken by Dani Brewer just moments after being officially adopted by Jordan and Cole Dickerson, the boy wanted to celebrate that they are already a family and they will soon become the elder brother.
A beautiful adoption story
The photo was taken on July 9 at the courthouse door where the boy became a dickerson more, a family from Memphis, Tennessee, whose adoption story is very beautiful and special.
Jordan works with a nurse at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, where he met Jeremiah last winter, when he was admitted due to a chronic lung disease. The child was born prematurely and has a number of medical conditions due to prematurity. On that occasion they had to perform a tracheotomy and put a feeding tube, recalls the mother.

Jordan fell in love with that cheerful and smiling boy and wanted her husband Cole to meet him too. Then they connected creating a very special bond between them.
They meditated it together and decided that it would be a good idea to adopt it, so they had it in reception for a year and finally they could officially adopt it.
Soon you will have a little sister
The funny thing about the story is that it is not necessarily a case in which the couple cannot conceive, but a story of adoption motivated by deep love towards that child who was alone and is now part of his family.
The parents tell People magazine that it was Jeremiah who predicted Jordan's pregnancy. They found him thanking him in his prayers for his new family and for the little sister that will come, and weeks later they received confirmation of the pregnancy of a girl who will arrive in January.
