March, 19. Father's Day or not?

Such a day as today we are surprised by the news of a campaign launched by a Madrid company dedicated to paternity tests aware of the doubts some parents have about it, March 19, Father's Day or not?.

Generally, we want to believe that the reasons why the alleged parents want to know if they really are parents of their children, are the distrust and deception that their partner submits to them, but the love they feel for that child is not conditioned.

Although Spain is well below in the demand for these tests, some 4,000 (while in Germany about 50,000 are performed a year), it is a doubt with which you can not always live, it is also a very simple test to perform, even without leaving home. The analysis is 99.9% reliable, since the 16 genetic markers analyzed can only be transmitted by parents to their children.

Biopaternidad, the Madrid-based company that has started the campaign, allows the paternity test to be requested online, which will send the applicant what is necessary to collect the sample, just a hair or a saliva sample. In about three days and for a price of 300 to 600 euros, the result is obtained, although for it to have judicial value it can cost 1,000 euros.

Do you think that a day like today, although it is a bit commercial, is the ideal to carry out this type of campaign?
