The self-regulation code on content and childhood, continually infringed by national television

On several occasions we have spoken in Babies and more about television programming in children's schedules, about negative publicity and many aspects that are not good for the children. On this occasion we mentioned another report that shows that national television stations have infringed in just under 100 days, up to 9,000 times the Self-regulation Code on Contents and Children.

In the post, I International Congress on Television and Children mentioned some of the problems that had to be solved and that although various solutions were considered, these were not executed simply by staying in a mere report. Today we know that respect for children's hours continues to be somewhat non-existent and that the protagonists of this situation are the television networks TVE 1, Antena 3, Cuatro, Tele 5 and La Sexta. Although the aforementioned code was voluntarily signed by all the chains about three years ago, none of them has made a special effort to safeguard the time for the little ones, well maybe there is some chain that has excelled from the rest and has stood out for respecting the schedule a little more, the report indicates that TVE is the most respectful chain in this matter.

According to this code, the chains promised to respect two time slots, from 8 to 9 in the morning and from 5 to 8 in the afternoon, both periods of time would be protected, although we can all verify that this is not the case. Many are the businesses that only contemplate the economic aspect and the statistical data, and the figures dance against the children.

Violence, conflicts, sex or bad verbiage take over the programs and through it, our children learn very negative aspects assimilating them as everyday. They are shameful data in which, competent and official bodies, should take forceful letters, it is not about establishing censorship, but about respecting each time slot.

When will they end up surprising us with a correct performance?
