18,000 families have already requested the help of 2,500 euros per birth

Spanish families have not wasted time and even 18,000 families have already requested the help of 2,500 euros that the government offers by birth or adoption, practically all the children born since the new aid was announced on July 3.

It is expected that next year the Spanish government will have to disburse some 1,250 million euros as a result of this aid, it is expected to exceed half a million births by 2008. The bill has not yet been approved but it is expected to be lightened, however many questions must be answered, since we do not know the content of the bill. What we do know is that the Ministry of Finance will finance this assistance through tax deductions in the IRPF by 80% and the remaining 20% will be financed by Social Security through unemployment benefits.

A little reflection, the help of 100 euros per month that working mothers currently receive should be extended to non-working mothers, but the current president of the government froze him. If this had not happened, during the three years that the benefit lasts, 3,600 euros would have been received, much more than the 2,500 that has been announced by hype and saucer thus initiating the pre-campaign. In addition, these 100 euros are equivalent to 90.02 euros in 2004, so if the benefit had not been frozen, currently more than 4,000 euros would be collected.

We remain in the queue for family aid. As announced by the 2006 European Family Evolution Report, the Spanish Government currently allocates 24.25 euros per dependent child per month, while Germany allocates 154 euros per child, France 115, Italy 72.31 and United Kingdom 101.

They announce a unified performance that sounds voluminous, but everything that glitters is not gold.
