Every year one million abortions are registered in India

On several occasions we have spoken in Babies and more about the serious situation in India, we can find that child trafficking is the order of the day, that newborn babies (specifically girls) are abandoned, that childhood This country has extreme malnutrition, or that there are more and more cases of child abuse. Really being a child in India can be dramatic.

Today we have known that every year there are one million abortions in that country, but they are selective abortions, with female fetuses succumbing to this news provided by the Indian Government, Minister Renuka Chowdhury has decided to use more effective measures to eliminate or at least reduce this dramatic situation. The increase in pensions that families receive so that they can feed future babies and the monitoring of the current situation of children through a National Commission are some solutions adopted.

The new measures add to the package we have talked about before and are expected to allow a drastic reduction in the problems that Indian children must go through. The absurd law of the lineage perpetuated by the male child is responsible for girls suffering such a situation, having to pay for a girl made already married is another absurd and macho obligation of Indian culture.

How can a government cope with something so entrenched in Indian society? All measures applied may slightly reduce the problem, but will not end it until the yoke that weighs on Indian femeneity is eliminated.
