Talk to the baby, even if he still doesn't talk

It is often believed that since the baby has not yet learned to speak, it makes no sense for us to talk to him. Total, does not understand what we say. However, this is not the case. Since they are born, and even from the womb, they hear everything, and even if they do not understand the meaning of what we say, talk to the baby even if he still doesn't speak, benefits its own acquisition of speech, reasoning, and therefore, its development.

The interaction between the parents and the baby is essential. We should talk to the baby as if he understood us, making him a participant in everything that happens around.

But how should we talk to him? We can talk to you in the same way that we talk to an adult, using the same words, but we can also alternate some conversations in baby language, because they like to be talked to as babies.

Anyway, we can take advantage of a lot of everyday situations to talk with our baby.

For example, at bath time, which is also a special moment to interact and enjoy with the baby, we can explain what clothes we take off to undress him, then asking him if he likes water, telling him what part of the body we lather. At lunchtime, we can tell you the ingredients of the mash, what will come next, we can read stories…

Like these, there are thousands of examples to share conversations with the baby, well unilateral conversations, since we talk to the baby and even if he does not respond with words, he will do it through his expressions, smiles and looks.

The important thing is to speak to him naturally, in a calm tone, in the same way that we speak to a friend or another family member.

Although he still doesn't speak, you will enjoy even if you don't understand the details. When we talk to him we will be contributing to develop his language, but also to give him attention and affection.
