We had commented some time ago that there was the rental of toys in other parts of the world. Now we have met Pickatoy, the first toy rental service in Spain.
Under the motto of "Why buy them if you can rent them?"Pickatoy, a company created by an entrepreneurial mother, allows us to choose the toy we want and how many we want in exchange for a monthly fee depending on how long we keep the toy: one, two or three months.
The toy (or toys) are chosen from the catalog that appears on the site, among which we can find from a rattle to a garden house. Once chosen they send them home, children can enjoy them during the time we have requested and when the deadline ends they come to pick them up.
If the child has a hard time getting rid of the deterninated toy that we have rented because he has taken care of him or whatever, he also offers the possibility of keeping it for an advantageous price.
Other issues that arise when we talk about toys are those related to safety and hygiene. With regard to the former, the toys come from reliable brands such as Vtech, Feber or Plantoys and have passed strict safety controls. With regard to hygiene, before sending toys home, they are subjected to a cleaning and disinfection process so that they arrive in perfect condition to the new user.
As I said on another occasion, the toy rental It seems to me an alternative of the most successful, both for moments of crisis and not, provided that the rental price implies a saving before the purchase.
It is a way to save space, since many times we end up accumulating piles of toys at home (with some of which never play, others get bored right away) and on the other hand it is a way to educate children in which it is possible to share instead of using and throwing away.
