Let's Clan arrives on public television to encourage English learning among children

TVE launches the initiative within its Clan children's channel Let's Clan. It is a commitment to promote children's learning of English and for this purpose a collaboration and advice agreement has been reached with the British Council. The goal is to reach the audience between 0 and 6 years and they can practice English naturally watching their favorite series in their original language. And also, in autumn and with the return to school, Let's Clan it will grow to become a weekly container with own production formats in English, such as Peter and Jack (with Manuel Higueras) and Work and play of the Lunnis and Clan series in their original language.

Yago Fandiño, responsible for Spanish children's television content, explained in the presentation of the initiative that is intended to respond to the need posed by Spanish society to help and contribute to language training in children.

In my opinion it is a great opportunity to strengthen Clan, provide it with more utilities and open up new business opportunities. And if the multichannel offer, as it seems, for mobile devices I am convinced that children of future generations are going to cheer up a lot with English.

Mark levy, Head of English and Schools of British CouncilHe has been very optimistic and is convinced of the educational value of children's programming in Let's Clan especially if it is used interactively.

For children to get used to Let's Clan The channel will inform what content can be followed in English, and thus the children can be encouraged to use the dual system and watch the programs in English. I think there are already many fathers / mothers who do so, so encouraging and encouraging children with some identifying sign will be good for all families.

From Clan they have also informed that they want to reach schools and that is why in schools they will be informed of the existence of Let's Clan with the intention that they can use their contents as pedagogical material.

In autumn it will be launched Peter and Jack, this is the educational project that Manuel Higueras will present (it appears in the video and image). Manuel is a teacher specializing in foreign language and music. During the classes he uses the songs that he composes to make learning English easier for the little ones, a method that will transfer to the children's TVE channel. In this task, the monkey Peter and the crow Jack will help you.

Also they Lunnis will participate with Work and play, the space where they will teach numbers, colors, new words and simple expressions in English through a very fun section.

In this video, extracted from Spanish television, some are explained additional project details:
