Poetry is also for children in the Literary Fair Expoesía de Soria. And is that the city of Soria celebrates the next July 16-20, its Sixth Edition of the Expoesía Literary Fair, one of the most important literary fairs dedicated exclusively to poetry and mixing activities for adults without forgetting the little ones with workshops, book signings or children's theater.
The Expoesía 2013 program is very extensive and includes activities such as readings, recitals, book presentations, etc. although its fundamental objective is bring poetry to all those who are interested in knowing it. Therefore, under the motto Outdoor Poetry, poetry goes out and shows that it is a genre for all audiences.
Among the events in which children can participate, in addition to the workshops to learn to write playing or to illustrate a book, you can see the plays The Drops Account, Odón, Quijote or the play theater and children's dance Robin Crusoe. In addition, the presentation and subsequent signing of books by the children's book author Antonio de Benito will be held.
You can also enjoy the fusion between poetry and flamenco thanks to the voices of the Huelva poet Antonio Orihuela and the tears of the flamenco singer Francisco Contreras, known as El Niño de Elche. The closing of the Festival will be in charge of Maite Dono and Estíbaliz Espinosa who will recite their verses in a show called Water Voices.
One of the curiosities of Expoesía are the locations of acts that are also true memories of the poets who marked Soria. The classroom and the cloister of the Antonio Machado Institute where the poet taught French and will be the place for nightly performances and recitals, the Dehesa where the poet of the Generation of 98 walked with Leonor or the Casino halls where it is still kept the piano played by the poet Gerardo Diego. A place closely linked to the social and literary life of the city and where the Casa de los Poetas Museum is now located.
