Today I propose a different plan for your visit to Mallorca, an excursion with children to Son Real. It is a farm on the north coast of the island, an itinerary along the coast in which to travel an old possession or know a necropolis.
We made the excursion along the virgin coast, starting from the beach of Son Bauló, on a road marked with sand and rocks, so we will have to wear appropriate footwear and choose a day or a time when it is not too hot, as well as going well protected from the sun.
Along the way, some small areas are suitable for swimming, but in general there are rocks and access to the sea is not easy. We arrived to the necropolis After a half hour walk and there we have the remains of about 110 graves from the 7th and 1st centuries BC.
From here you can enjoy a good panoramic view of the Pinar and Ferrutx capes, and the island of Des Porros, located in front of the necropolis and which also houses archaeological sites. With luck, the kids will be able to browse the works of the archaeologists who are still investigating here.
If we want to continue the excursion, we move away a little from the coast and inland we go along one of the flat tracks to the houses of Son Real, a traditional agricultural farm.
Possession is an old farm with house, stables, church… You can visit a small interpretation center and museum and part of the land, with its centenary fig trees. There is a small botanical garden with many aromatic plants and endemic species. We can also see farm animals next to the house (pigs, chickens, geese ...) Be careful that sometimes they escape!
In short, the excursion can be done on foot along the coast from the beach of Son Bauló (Ca'n Picafort) or starting from the Son Real estate, where you can do it walking or cycling (there is a free loan, and they have bicycles with seat for babies and young children) in the opposite direction to the coast, and then see the necropolis and continue to the beach of Son Bauló.

Maybe going back to the beginning can be very tired, so the option of cycling or doing only "half excursion" (from the beach or the farm to the necropolis, and returning to the starting point) is the best with small children.
