Although the toy industry offers dolls in all kinds of everyday situations, such as driving a car, riding a horse or in a dance class, it is not usual to see dolls in other situations, just as usual, such as pregnant women, giving birth or breastfeeding
That's why they caught my attention beautiful handmade pregnancy, birth and lactation dolls by Lina from Sonniger wald. To give them life, use new and recycled 100% cotton fabrics and materials such as felt, wool, thread and some wood details.
But the most curious are the scenes that represent the dolls. Lina makes them real women in the process of childbirth. We can see the sequence of a parturient of twins accompanied by a doula, using a giant ball first during the period of dilation, then giving birth and finally resting with babies in skin-to-skin contact.
If you look closely at the images, leave no random detail. The dolls have boobs to breastfeed their babies, they have pubic hair and in the birth scenes you can see up to the umbilical cord connected to the placenta.
