The Pets video game available for PSVita and also on mobile devices

With Pets, kids can play with four friendly puppies: a husky, a Labrador, a Dalmatian and a collie, each with their own personality and sense of humor. The challenge for the game is that animals acquire the skills necessary to discover the mysterious world of Castlewood Island and decipher an ancient legend that speaks of a king and his dog. The video game is developed by the British studio Spiral House and combines simulation and graphic adventure in which dogs can also talk and interact with their masters to convey their thoughts and emotions. Players have to train pets and develop their sense of smell, track buried treasures and dig up clues and artifacts that will open new games.

The application Pets: Puppy room now available for devices Android and iOS and the video game on which it is based, and that is for Playstation Vita, will go on sale next 5th June of 2014.

Pets also has augmented reality so that players enjoy their puppies in a much more interactive and impactful way. PSVita Pets will include a new facial recognition system thanks to which pets can recognize the faces of their masters and obey only them.

The purpose of the application to mobile devices is to get pet-loving players meet the four dogs that star in the video game before its release for PSVita. Thanks to the application players will have a small virtual training room where each day they will receive the visit of a new puppy that they should educate through a series of tasks such as talking to them for a walk, bathing, feeding or playing with them.

To do this they can use mini-games like Dream chase, where dogs can run while collecting golden bones, or Snack Balance in which players must tilt their mobile device so that their puppy maintains balance while holding a candy with its snout.

With the points earned in these games and by caring for pets, you can improve the virtual training room and unlock new objects and dog clothes. These costumes and dresses can then be transferred to the original PS Vita game to continue the fun.

It seems very original to launch the video game for mobile devices rather than PSVita. I think they will always win with this option because most children will probably demand the game for the PlayStation portable console when their parents don't let them play with the mobile phone anymore. At home we are going to download it for Android to see how it works because it seems very fun and entertaining with those fun pets.
