Yes we keep something, and they have their specific place, but when I stopped to think about so many things that ended up in the trash or lost and that perhaps they would have liked to see when they were older, I felt a bit of nostalgia.
Baby photographs
In this sense there is not much problem. With the digital cameras and then with the mobiles there are pictures of the three to stop a train. It is true that the third, the little one, has less of everything, a natural consequence of being the last one and of, poor thing, not innovating in anything, or in almost nothing ... most of the things he does remind us in one way or another of the major or in the middle and, of course, the urgent need to take the camera does not exist.
Just in case, we have all the files stored on a computer, in a folder that sand automatically update with the cloud. In case the computer dies a bad day, the files are still safe.
Baby's footprints
It's very funny to save baby's footprints to have the reference of how it was when they were little. It can be done with a special clay, engraving the footprint, and also at home, with a cardboard and hand paint. We paint their hands or feet and put them on the cardboard.
We did this with the first one, his feet and his hands, on cardboards, and we made two pictures that we hung in his room. With the second and third ... well no, we do not get to do it.
The newspaper of the day they were born
Something that also made me funny when I read that many people did is save the newspaper of the day he was born. In fact, this is how you find out what happened the day before, so there are those who buy the next day. I like the same day, because the date is exact.
In any case, when I got the idea, the first one was already born and because of "or all or none", I didn't do it from now on. Anyway, you can ask for the edition in some newspapers and they do it to you.
Baby's diary
There are those who, not to forget important moments and also remember everyday writes a diary where you write down what you want to last. The modern version is to do a blog, one in which to tell the joys and sorrows, one that our son can read when he grows up, with the photos we add (or not) and his wanderings or pranks.

You can also save some organic remains of our children, such as the cord clamp (I have all three because I am sad to throw them and as we did not know very well what to do with them, we keep them), a lock of hair the first time you cut it (in my case we do not get to that) and the baby teeth when they fall, we do have them because in his day Miriam bought three very cool boxes, one for each one.
Your favorite toys
You can also keep the child's bear, the one that does not release either the sun or the shade, the car that ended up without wheels as long as it rolled or that doll that ended up with an "impeccable" hair. Surely in the future they will like to see them again and recognize them in the photos.
From before birth?
Things that can also be saved, before birth, are ultrasound, pregnancy test and something as funny as the list of names that the parents shuffled before deciding on the final. In our case we only keep the ultrasound. Ready we only made the first one and once we made the decision we threw it away, and the pregnancy test ended up in the same place.
The pacifier, the booties and the first candle
Other things that can be funny to save would be the first booties that we put in, or those that were his favorites (there are those who bathe them in gold, silver or bronze to last a lifetime), the pacifier which he used most, or the last one he used, which in my case was impossible because no one has worn a pacifier, and things like the first birthday candle, the one that never blew because at that time they just want to touch it.
