Guillén Cuervo Summer Art Camp urban art camp goes for the second edition

The second edition of the Guillén Cuervo Summer Art Camp, an urban camp of performing arts, painting and English, aimed at children of four to eleven years that will take place from June 30 to July 25, 2014. Last summer this camp was already a success and that is to work with the performing arts is an asset highly valued by families because it offers children to develop their creativity in a healthy environment. In the camp they can make their own sets, put on makeup in the dressing room of the stars, act, play and share unique moments with great professionals.

So in July 2014 again you can go to the Dutch chalet / school, in Arturo Soria, in a perfect environment for kids to have fun while they are foster creativity using theater and plastic expression. Many of the activities are conducted in English to practice the language. The project is created and directed by Natalia Guillén Cuervo, the oldest of the Guillén Cuervo brothers, who wants to encourage children to develop their imagination, self-esteem and learn to incorporate the arts as something fun. Count, of course, with the participation and support of the Guillén Cuervo saga, which will share unique moments with the children and other great professionals in our scene who will approach the camp.

The camp is one more option of the many that exist in the summer so that the children in addition to enjoying the mornings of July in the company of other children can also have fun, develop their creativity and practice the English language. From the camp we are told that registrations can be made for weeks or fortnights and that the activities are carried out in groups, guided by their monitor and working on a weekly project.

Between the activities that can be done in the workshop you can practice:

  • Theater: Children can develop imagination and improve their verbal and body expression, as well as diction and memory. It will help them to function in public and improve interpersonal relationships, increasing their self-esteem and making them feel more secure.
  • plastic arts: They will stimulate their imagination and creativity, painting and modeling with different materials. They will be able to build the sets and invent makeup for their theater workshop
  • English that in a transversal way, will be used in many activities to practice the language

The dates The camp is from June 30 to July 25, 2014 with hours from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm although the schedule can be extended. It is for children from 4 to 11 years old with accredited monitors of leisure and free time, languages, theater and art and working with groups of up to 10 children. The camp is in the Dutch chalet / school on Alonso Saavedra street, 20-22 (Arturo Soria area, Madrid) and the tariffs They are: 175 euros per week and 325 euros per fortnight.
