The most famous duck in the world has just turned 80. Donald Duck was first announced in the short of the Silly Symphonies The Wise Little Hen on June 9, 1934. Since then, his jester spirit and strong temperament have made him a very dear character, known and recognized for several generations. What I always liked about this duck was his way of speaking, in Spanish or English, because I never understood what he said. In my childhood memories he appears in many adventures with his nephews, I think he had a toy car of the Donald Duck, in which Daisy and the miser Uncle Gilito was not missing.
Eighty years later Donald Duck is still tremendously popular and has a lot of prominence. At home, the little girl knows him very well, although I think she does not have the strength she had in my generation when fighting with the greed of Uncle Gilito and with the nephews, Jorgito, Jaimito and Juanito that motivated us to live exciting adventures. Anyway Donald continues to inspire merchandising with products and designs for clothes, stationery or household items, also part of Mickey Mouse's house and it has an important role in the new Mickey shorts, with a design very different from what we are used to.

I congratulate Donald Duck for his eighty anniversary. A great Disney creation that has entertained many generations and is sure to continue.
