A couple does an online survey to decide whether to give birth or abort

Having a child is an act that requires a lot of responsibility on the part of the parents and that is why there are many who delay this moment because they are not prepared or even decide not to have them.

Delaying motherhood is relatively easy. Today there are almost infallible contraceptive methods and therefore couples do not have to worry too much about the possibility of being parents too early, however, the problem originates when the doubt and the feeling of not being able to care for a child It comes when you're already pregnant.

This is what has happened to a 30-year-old American couple. While she is now pregnant, they are not sure whether or not to continue with the pregnancy and how they are not very capable of making a decision They have started an online survey so that people can say whether they should give birth to their child or have an abortion.

Pete and Alisha Arnold, who are the names of future (or not) parents, say that this survey, which is even part of a website dedicated to this topic called birthornot.com (born or not.com), is not kidding and they take the subject very seriously.

The results of the survey, today, they decline the balance towards “having the son” with 80.6% of the votes compared to 19.4% who suggest they abort. The couple, who has been married for 10 years, commented that although the result of the survey will influence their decision, it will be they who have the last word.

Apparently the doubts come because Alisha, who has already suffered two miscarriages in the last 10 months, has realized that this time the pregnancy continues and he fears the pressure that the arrival of a baby can cause in his life:

I fear that the constant pressure to be the perfect wife and perfect mother, and to keep the job full time, ends up exploding in my brain and gives me a nervous breakdown.

The truth is that, taking a walk through the couple's website, and seeing that they have published many entries related to pregnancy and even ultrasound of the baby, it seems quite obvious that the decision will be to have the son. Otherwise I would not understand that someone talked about your baby on a web page, showed the ultrasound (even 3D) and was so aware of the baby that is being formed and then decide to abort.

I imagine that they are looking for their minute of fame (and they are getting it) and that they really do not expect much from such a survey. The decision to have a child or to abort is personal and not transferable. It must be taken by each couple valuing their lives and their personal situation and hardly anyone, and less an unknown Internet user, can decide on such a delicate issue. Moreover, when faced with this question, the most common is that the majority answer “have the child”. Too bad we would have to see this couple (I think, come on) as if to urge them to abort a baby whose sonograms you are seeing on their website.
