Hasbro plans to launch an Easy Bake Owen also for boys

Easy Baken Owen Current

McKenna Pope is a teenager who has made a request to the Habro toy company to market an Easy Bake Owen that boys also like. The product is an oven for children that works with electricity, and real cooking, currently It is on the market in violet (with pink and light blue prints).

From New Jersey, McKenna got heard by Hasbro executives, who offered to meet them. And even Pawtucket (in Rhode Island) the whole family left, in order to listen to the company's proposal. In fact, it had all started when our protagonist's younger brother wanted to ask for the oven as a Christmas present, although he was not entirely satisfied with the color. Apparently a few decades ago the toy had a different appearance, and also a more neutral color, however market research revealed that it was the girls (especially) who were interested in Easy Bake Owen, so the design softened and the color changed.

However, McKenna and his family left the meeting satisfied, especially little Gavyn. And is that a black, blue and silver prototype has been developed, which will be presented at a sector fair during the next months. It is even possible that during the third quarter of 2013 the new oven was launched.

I agree that sometimes children are conditioned when asking for toys because of the colors of the catalogs. Although I also think that With a good home base, kids can internalize participation in household chores, and this regardless of the color of the toys they use.

On the other hand, pink is a color that conditions a lot, I would say, more so than blue (theoretically for boys), and the 'pink' toys aimed at girls are abused. Too much for my taste.

It is very good that boys and girls want to learn to function in the kitchen, it is a space that should not be attributed only to girls. In practice and when we are adults, the kitchen is responsible for the nutrition and health of family membersThat is why whoever cooks mostly can feel proud / proud of the work done.

In our case there are no electric kitchens because when children help they do it using common utensils, what I intend to convey is not so much the concept of 'equality' as the satisfaction of doing things with their own hands.

And coming back to McKenna, and finally, I think may be happy to have managed to carry out an individual initiative.
