Saffy Service is an application for kids to use the Internet on mobile phones with a focus on prevention and education

Saffy service It is an application proposal for mobile devices that considers that the best solution, given the insecurity of minors in the use of mobile Internet, is prevention and education and not so much because of the prohibition when downloading content or using applications. The objective is that Saffy Service is preinstalled on mobile devices and that, in addition to establishing parental control, it would propose the use of educational games and applications.

The Saffy Service project has been the winning initiative of the University Creativity & Innovation Challenge, a competition organized by the Junior Achievement Foundation at the initiative of Orange and that has brought together more than fifty university entrepreneurs during November 29 and 30, 2012 at the Higher Technical School of Telecommunications Engineers of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. The authors of the Saffy Service project they are: Pablo Zulaica, Industrial Engineering student at the Pontifical University of Comillas; Kristin Weinrich, European Business Program student at the Nebrija University; Sergio Sánchez, student of Computer Engineering at the Complutense University of Madrid and Mónica Couret, student of Business Administration and Management at the Pontifical University of Comillas.

He second prize It corresponded to the Whatcheye team, which proposes a panic button that could be activated in crisis situations or an avatar assisted by an online psychological cabinet. He Third award It fell on ProtKids, which offers a solution to filter, both access to inappropriate content (alcohol, drugs, pornography, violence, etc.), as well as a time limit so that minors cannot use certain applications, for example, while they are in the school.

The initiative seems most interesting and I hope that these applications can be developed. We encourage its authors to come to Peques and Más to tell their experience, more details of the application and especially if we will be able to get it soon. In addition, during the two days of the event, attendees received free first-level training from professional experts working in companies, such as the Innovation Manager of Orange Spain Alberto Antón and specialists in child safety in the network as the President of Protégeles, Guillermo Cánovas.

And the challenge was also that young people participate in workshops where they could learn techniques to generate creative ideas, to increase their team productivity, to develop an effective Business Plan and to work on the seven key steps to prepare a Pitch Elevator ( an effective, short and forceful presentation to investors).
